This privacy policy applies to the Falling Tiles: Match Puzzle app ("Application") for iOS and Android, created by Bipul Wagle ("Service Provider") as an ad-supported service. The Application is provided "AS IS".
What the Service Provider collects
The Service Provider does not run analytics or crash reporting, does not ask you to create an account, and does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location. The Application does not request access to your device's location.
Data stored on your device
Your saved games, high score, layout and display settings, achievements and play statistics, and which tips you have already seen are stored only on your device. If you enter an ad-free code, the code is also stored on your device and checked on your device against the current value downloaded from Google Firebase (see below). The Service Provider never receives any of this data. It leaves your device only through your operating system's own backup (such as iCloud or Android backup) if you have that turned on. Uninstalling the Application deletes it from your device.
Your consent choices are stored on your device by Google's consent software and sent to Google with ad requests.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Application shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- device identifiers: the Advertising Identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking) and the Identifier for Vendor (IDFV) on iOS; the Android Advertising ID (AAID) and App Set ID on Android;
- your IP address, from which Google may infer an approximate location;
- device and app information, such as the operating system and version, device model, language and app version;
- information about the ads you see and tap;
- diagnostic information about the ad software, such as crash and performance data.
Google's consent message may collect your IP address (to determine your region), device information and your consent choices so it can show and remember the message. While a valid ad-free code is active when the Application starts, it does not request ads, show the consent message or ask for tracking permission.
On Android, Google may also use Android's Privacy Sandbox ad features (Topics and Attribution reporting). You can turn these off in Settings > Security & privacy > Privacy > Ads (the exact path varies by device).
Google processes this data under its own policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
iOS: App Tracking Transparency
On iOS, after any consent message, and unless an ad-free code is active, the Application asks once whether it may use your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA). It does not ask if you declined in the consent message. It also waits while it cannot read your consent choices (for example on a first launch without a network connection) and may ask on a later launch instead. If you later give consent under Settings > Privacy choices, it may ask then.
If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the IDFA is not shared. You may still see ads, and Google may still use other signals, such as your IP address and app-scoped identifiers (IDFV), as described above. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Android: advertising ID
On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device's Google or Privacy settings.
Game settings from the server (Google Firebase)
The Application uses Google Firebase Remote Config to download game settings (for example speed, unlock thresholds and whether to suggest an app update) and the current ad-free code value. It may check for new settings when it starts and listens for updates while it runs. Firebase uses a Firebase installation identifier and receives basic device and app information, such as the app version and your IP address, along with diagnostic data. It is not used for advertising. See Privacy and Security in Firebase.
This website
fallingtiles.com counts visits with GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics service. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not track you across other sites. For each page view, and when you tap an App Store or Google Play link, the website sends GoatCounter the page address, the referring page, the page title, your browser and operating system, your screen size and an approximate country derived from your IP address. GoatCounter does not store your IP address. The Service Provider sees only aggregated counts. See GoatCounter's privacy policy.
Sharing the app
The Share button and QR code only pass a download link to your device's share sheet or screen. Nothing is sent to the Service Provider.
Service providers and disclosure
The Service Provider uses Google (AdMob and Firebase) as service providers to run the Application. The Service Provider does not sell your information for money; Google may use advertising identifiers for personalized ads as described above. Information may also be disclosed:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
- when the Service Provider believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
Legal basis (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
If Google determines that you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the Application asks for your choices through Google's User Messaging Platform, a Google-certified consent management platform, before it requests any ads, and uses your saved choices on later launches. Google uses your choices to decide whether to show personalized ads, non-personalized ads or limited ads. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, in the Application under Settings > Privacy choices.
The Service Provider relies on legitimate interest only where it fits: downloading game settings so the Application works as intended, and the fraud-prevention and security processing that keeps the Application and its ads working. The App Tracking Transparency prompt is Apple's tracking permission; it is separate from the consent message above.
International transfers
Google may process data in the United States and other countries. Google relies on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for these transfers.
Retention
- Data on your device: kept until you uninstall the Application or clear its data. If your device is backed up (for example to iCloud or Google), a copy may remain in that backup until the backup is deleted.
- Support emails: kept for up to 24 months to handle your request, or deleted sooner if you ask.
- Data collected by Google: kept under Google's retention policies (How Google retains data).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
- The Service Provider holds no gameplay or device data about you, only any support emails you send. Requests about those go to grimier_mojos_9b@icloud.com, and the Service Provider will respond within 30 days.
- Requests about advertising or Firebase data should be made to Google through the links above, because Google holds that data.
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) applies, California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, use Settings > Privacy choices (shown where it applies) or your device's ad-tracking settings. The Service Provider will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
Your choices
- You can limit ad tracking with your device settings, as described above.
- Where required by law (for example the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and some US states), Settings > Privacy choices in the Application lets you review or change your ad privacy choices.
- You can stop all data collection by the Application by uninstalling it, using your device's standard uninstall process or the app store.
Children
The Application is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. The Application tells Google that its ad requests are not directed at children and asks Google to limit ads to content rated PG or lower. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, contact grimier_mojos_9b@icloud.com so the Service Provider can take the necessary action, including deleting it.
Security
The Service Provider holds no gameplay or device data and keeps support emails in a secured email account. Google's services transmit data over encrypted connections.
Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date. Please check it regularly.
Acceptance of this policy
This policy describes how the Application handles information. Using the Application does not by itself mean that you consent to any particular processing. Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under the law where you live.
This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-10-17.
